Policy, Education and Public Relations

Mission Statement

Our mission is to educate policymakers, the American public and our national security and infrastructure organizations on the critical need for readiness and infrastructure protection, including our vulnerabilities, solutions and potential consequences of inaction.

Goals

  1. Educate Policymakers and the Media

  • Engage the Congress and Administration Agencies to educate them on the threats,      consequences of inaction, and options they have to protect America’s critical infrastructure
  • Utilize the expertise and connections of our organization to identify key government and media stakeholders and engage them to adopt positions and      policies to protect American infrastructure.  See rules below.
  • Review policies and requirements that can be adopted to further our goals

2. Disseminate Scientific Vetted Information to Highlight our Cause

  • Encourage our organization Members in writing papers and editorials to advance an      understanding of our organization, our goals and our policies to protect America’s critical infrastructure
  • Coordinate with all FIR Task Forces to highlight their work to key government agencies and the Congress, organizations and public affairs constituencies
  • Carefully raise awareness of key stakeholders without alerting our adversaries about our vulnerabilities and the associated emerging solutions.
